TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions outline the agreement between you (“the Client”) and Sonia Skewes, Integrative Therapist & Mentor (“the Practitioner”), for all products, services, programs, and sessions offered through this Simplero site and/or SONIA SKEWES.

By purchasing any service or program, you agree to the following terms:

1. Services Provided

You acknowledge that services offered by Sonia Skewes may include:

• Integrative therapeutic mentoring
• Somatic and nervous system–based practices
• EMDR-related, Brainspotting-informed and Expressive Arts processes
• Resource-based therapeutic coaching
• Education, reflective practice, and emotional regulation support

These sessions are not a replacement for medical, psychiatric, or crisis services.

If you require medical or mental-health crisis support, you agree to contact appropriate services immediately (e.g., 000, Lifeline, GP, psychologist, psychiatrist).

2. Eligibility & Client Responsibility

By signing up, you confirm that you:

• are over 18 years old
• are voluntarily choosing to participate
• are responsible for your own emotional and physical wellbeing
• will communicate honestly and respectfully
• will seek additional support if needed

You acknowledge that deep therapeutic and integrative work can bring up emotions, memories, and physical sensations. You agree to take responsibility for your participation.

3. Payment, Pricing & Billing

All prices are listed in AUD unless otherwise specified.

Your purchase confirms:

• you understand the pricing
• you authorise all payments under your selected plan
• you agree to complete any payment plan in full

Payment Plans:

• If you choose a payment plan, you are legally responsible for completing all payments.
  
• Failed payments will be reattempted automatically.
  
• If unresolved, access may be paused until payment is received.

4. Refunds & Cancellations

Due to the nature of therapeutic and digital services: 

All purchases are final and non-refundable.

This includes:

• 1:1 sessions
• multi-session packages
• digital products
• mentoring containers
• payment plans

If you cannot attend a scheduled session, you must provide 48 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may be forfeited.

If the practitioner must reschedule, you will be offered the next available session time.

5. Session Policies

Confidentiality

All sessions are confidential except where required by Australian law (e.g., risk of harm).

Nature of Sessions

Sessions can include somatic, therapeutic, reflective, and psychoeducational elements.
You understand outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

Session Length

Sessions start and end on time.
Late arrival does not extend the session.

6. Digital Content & Access

You may receive digital materials (audio, video, PDF, etc.). These are for personal use only. You may not copy, share, distribute, or reproduce any content.

Access to courses or memberships may expire depending on the product.

7. No Medical or Financial Advice

You understand that:

• no medical, psychiatric, psychological diagnosis is being provided
• no financial, legal, or investment advice is being offered

All information is educational and supportive only.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Practitioner is not liable for:

• any injuries, emotional distress, or damages arising from your participation
• decisions you make during or after the program
• delays, technical issues, or disruptions to service

You participate voluntarily and accept responsibility for your own choices.

9. Intellectual Property

All written, audio, video, and digital materials remain the property of Sonia Skewes. They may not be copied, sold, or reproduced without written permission.

10. Termination of Services

The Practitioner reserves the right to terminate services if:

• boundaries are repeatedly violated
• communication becomes unsafe or abusive
• payments fail and remain unresolved

If termination occurs, unused sessions may be forfeited.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia.
